Decollate
<Decollate>
The clanging of chains echo
Through the dark and musty halls.
I dream of the ever forgiving meadows,
bound by manacles within these walls.
The conductor came with chiming keys,
Unlocking the silence with metal clanking.
The gates of Dachau opens, only darkness I see...
Silence breaks with a distant shrill wailing...
The time has come for my walk,
Down the halls of grief and lament,
With uniform harmony the slow groaning wakes,
The ghoulish tolling of my fate...
They cover me not of my shame,
But blinds me of my failing sight.
This is all but one man's claim,
A rhythm, a chant, I must recite.
Tumbling up the wooden stairs,
The groan, the crack, shrieks out of whack!
On bended knees, forced through these fears,
Silence fell, of doom, of dark, of bleaky black!
No words were spoken, no speech, nor justice,
No sentence, no hearing, no reason, nor chance.
No trumpet calls amongst the pillars of Augustus,
Only shades and shadows, of a ghostly dance.
Heavy boots drummed upon the wooden floor,
A heavy metal snared along.
Then Silence, no murmur, nor a swore,
Broken by whistling metal like a song.
A cessation. A calm before my state,
Then the metal sings, sealing my fate.
